Great Pacific Garbage Patch

p>This is the carcass of a sea bird and the plastic that ended up in its stomach. Countless sea birds have been found with digestive tracks filled with plastic bottle caps, tabs, and tiny slivers of plastic confetti found adrift in our oceans. Some scientists estimate that the garbage patch in the Pacific ocean, consisting mostly of plastic, is twice the size of Texas.
