Why is the public turned off from science? The fault lies with idiotic scientists themselves. They think they are the smartest guys on Earth on every subject under the sun, but actually they are usually blithering idiots in every field outside their narrow field of expertise.
Imagine putting in a question like “How would your administration address climate change?” with “How will your policies ensure that America remains at the cutting edge of innovation?”
If I were to answer the second question, I’d say I would cancel every research grant given to “climate scientists” and channel the money into real research in fields like energy, chemistry, materials, genetics, and physics. I would further press all climate scientists into chain gangs to work in deep earth coal mines, with shovels and pick axes, till the money they have defrauded the public has been recovered.
